An Introduction to Anti-Blackness - FACILITATOR
Fri 6/24 - 4:45 PM - 6:00 PM
Anti-blackness is a global phenomenon that affects people in every cultural and ethnic group. Within larger systems of structural oppression, it translates to higher rates of social ills, including poverty, unemployment, poor health outcomes, and substandard housing. After a grounding presentation, groups will discuss the impact of anti-blackness in our congregations, our families, our work places, and our larger society. We will also look at ways of countering its impact. This workshop will be offered at the same time to three groups: explicitly black, people of color and white allies.
Our Ongoing Work - FACILITATOR

How does this help us shift what we are doing to transform our UU landscape and other larger contexts? How are black people to be empowered in mostly white congregations?
